COVIDENTIFY

    Strategy

    • Ingested data from study participants’ Garmin and Apple watches to track physiological changes related to infection onset such as irregular sleeping patterns, body temperature, and blood oxygen measurements.

    • Used Apple HealthKit to create daily surveys to capture symptom data from study participants

    • Implemented plan for increasing participant engagement by generating daily health surveys and push notifications

    Outcome

    • Study enrollment grew to 7,000+ participants who completed 362,000 total surveys

    • Deviations in participant data proved that resting heart rate, physical activity, and sleep patterns can predict COVID-19 infection with 95% confidence 10 days before detection from standard diagnostic testing
